The Pettit National Ice Center holds speed skating camps and clinics throughout the year, with camps over the summer, during school breaks and seasonal clinics. These camps are led by top-level speed skating instructors, as well as U.S. National and Olympic team coaches. Camps are open to skaters of all ages and abilities.
While speed skating competes as a winter sport, skaters work year round to perfect their skills with both on and off the ice work. Incorporated into many of the Pettit summers camps is dry land training that stresses conditioning, technique, endurance and weight training for advanced skaters.
