The Pettit National Ice Center, a U.S. Olympic Training Facility, is proud to announce the success of several Pettit coaches who recently passed a series of tests at the Professional Skaters Association (PSA) International Conference in San Diego, California.
The PSA Official Rating System is for professional coaches who want to validate their skating skill and teaching experience. Ratings are an assurance to clubs, rinks, skaters, parents and the general public that the coach they work with is technically qualified to instruct at the level in which they are rated. More and more coaches are required to become rated and many are choosing to do so because it is so beneficial.
Here is a listing of the Pettit coaches and the tests they successfully passed and completed:
David Redlin passed three exams in Master Sports Science Exam (Written Exam), Certified Group Instruction and Registered Moves in the Field.
Dehnel Petre passed two exams in Registered Freeskating and Registered Moves in the Field.
Megan Zienkiewicz passed four exams in Senior Sports Science Exam (Written Exam), Master Sports Science Exam (Written Exam), Certified Moves in the Field and Registered Group Instruction.
Craig Bodoh passed exams in Registered Sports Science Exam (Written), Certified Sports Science Exam (Written), and Certified Program Director.
The Pettit congratulates the coaches listed above for their hard work and dedication in not only passing the PSA exams, but also coaching and instructing everyday at the Pettit Center.
