

The Pettit National Ice Center, a U.S. Olympic Training Facility, along with the Wisconsin Figure Skating Club, will present the annual ice show Red, White & Blades. The show will take place at the Pettit on Thursday, May 6th at 7pm, Friday, May 7th at 7pm and Saturday, May 8th at 1pm and 7pm.
Almost 100 young skating stars will represent the state of Wisconsin’s top figure skating talent in 13 choreographed numbers. The Pettit has been abuzz with all-day show practice sessions, constant costume construction and many other preparations for the area’s biggest amateur ice show.
Red, White & Blades is sanctioned by U.S. Figure Skating and will include some top-notch guest performers and soloists including:
“Red, White & Blades will be every skater’s chance to take part in a professionally developed ice show and showcase their own skating talent,” says the Pettit’s Skating Director Lynn Paulsen. “This show will be one of the best this area has ever seen.”
Red, White & Blades will not only give skating fans a chance to see true artistry on the ice, but also the opportunity to help their community. For all performances, anyone who brings a donation of a new toy, book or other children’s item for Children’s Hospital will receive a 2-for-1 Pettit public skating coupon and can enter a drawing for prizes to be given away at intermission of each performance.
