Wisconsin Edge Juvenile Synchronized Team Qualifies for Nationals
The Pettit National Ice Center, a U.S. Olympic Training Site, is proud to announce the success of the Wisconsin Edge Juvenile Synchronized Skating Team.
The Wisconsin Edge Juvenile Synchronized Skating Team recently competed in the Midwestern and Pacific Coast Synchronized Skating Sectional Championships in Rochester, Minnesota.
By placing 5th in the Midwestern division, the Juvenile Team qualifies for the National Synchronized Skating Competition March 2 – March 5, in Ontario, California. The Wisconsin Edge team is the only Juvenile team from Wisconsin to qualify for Nationals and will join eleven other teams across the country who will compete for the in the Juvenile division crown.
The Wisconsin Edge Juvenile Synchronized Skating Team, which is a component of the Wisconsin Figure Skating Club, is coached by Jill Herbst and Linda Alioto and train year-round at the Pettit Center.
This is the 16th team Coach Jill Herbst has taken to Nationals since 1998. “These girls have trained very hard all season… I am very proud of their achievement.” Herbst said after a recent on-ice session.
The WI Edge Juvenile Team consists of 17 girls between the ages of 11-13 from Southeastern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.
