The Pettit National Ice Center is proud to announce our nomination for the 2009 Nickelodeon’s Parents’ Picks Award.
ParentsConnect is a web page designed by Nickelodeon with the intent of providing parents with innovative activities, product recommendations, as well as local “family-friendly” resources. The Pettit National Ice Center has been recognized by Milwaukee Area parents on ParentsConnect as one of the best Kids’ Party Places in Milwaukee.
The Pettit strives to provide flexibility and affordable prices for our young skaters and their parents, accommodating a wide variety of celebrations for kids and teens of all ages such as birthdays, scout troop parties, graduations, field trips, post-prom parties, or even a casual get-together.
With our convenient location in the heart of the Metro-Milwaukee Area, the Pettit has been able to successfully serve skating fans from all over Southeastern Wisconsin.
“Without the support of our students, parents, and fans, the Pettit could not have obtained such a prestigious nomination,” comments Executive Director Randy Dean, “We definitely encourage all of our fans to go out and vote.”
The Pettit is competing against Olympic Lanes, La Terraza, Monkey Joe’s, Stone Fire Pizza Company, and Boerner Botanical Gardens. However, the Pettit is the only candidate that provides kids with the opportunity to reveal their skating talent. After all, the Pettit is where many Olympic athletes experienced their first days out on the ice!
Pettit fans have been successful in keeping the lead in the running for the award. As of Tuesday May 26, 2009, the Pettit acquired 45% of the current votes.
