Mascot Madness At The Pettit Center

Can the famous Klement’s Racing Sausages skate as well as they run?  Find out this Saturday at the Pettit National Ice Center!

 

The Pettit National Ice Center, a U.S Olympic Training Site, has teamed up with MyCommunityNOW for a fabulous day of skating with some of the most popular mascots in Wisconsin. The Pettit Center will play host to the 5th Annual “Skate with the Mascots” on Saturday, February 28, 2009.

 

Mascots from around the state, as well as some national favorites, will be on-hand from 1pm – 4pm during the Pettit Center’s public skating session.  Public skaters will get the chance to meet and mingle with some larger-than-life characters.

 

As part of the Pettit Center’s National Skating Month celebration, several mascots will also compete in some unique “Mascot Olympics” competitions, creating on-ice and off-ice fun.  Below are just a few of the Mascots who will be in attendance this Saturday at the Pettit Center:

 

  • McGruff the Crime Dog
  • The Milwaukee Admirals’ Roscoe
  • Klement’s Racing Sausages
  • The Milwaukee Wave’s Brad Beach
  • Time Warner Cable’s Digital Phone, Digital Cable and Road Runner High Speed
  • And many more!

 

Mascots will be in attendance at the Pettit from 1pm – 4pm. The cost of public skating Is $7/adult, $5/Children 12 and under and $3 for skate rentals.

 

Look for some mascots and Pettit Center staff THIS Wednesday, February 25 at 9am on “The Morning Blend” on Today’s TMJ4 (Channel 4).
