Pettit Showcased on Cable Channel This Friday

The Pettit National Ice Center, a U.S. Olympic Training Facility, will be featured on the Travel Channel’s “Road Trip” this Friday, October 8, 2004. The show entitled: “Road Trip: Twin Cities to the Windy City” airs at 7:00pm, Milwaukee/Central time

Road Trip is a weekly show that focuses on a trip by automobile from one city to the next and what fun and interesting stops someone can find along the way. On the trip to Chicago, the two hosts pass through Wisconsin and make a visit at the Pettit Center.

While at Wisconsin’s only U.S. Olympic Training Facility, the hosts are greeted by Olympic Champion Bonnie Blair-Cruikshank. Bonnie, a member of the Pettit’s Board of Directors, leads co-host Tina Maddigan in a very exclusive and once-in-a-lifetime speed skating training session.

So set you VCRs and TIVO to the Travel Channel at 7pm on Friday night to catch a glimpse of one of Wisconsin’s true jewels of tourism!

If you happen to miss the Friday premiere, you can catch two re-airs of “Road Trip”, one on Friday at 10pm and another on Saturday, October 9th at 9am.
