Pettit New To The Wisconsin State Fair
The Pettit National Ice Center, a U.S. Olympic Training Facility, will be the coolest place to be at this year’s Wisconsin State Fair.
The Pettit Center will feature new and fun activities designed to please many a Fairgoer. Some of the Pettit “Cool Zone” features include:
Cream Puff Curling – Try your hand at the state’s official sport! You’ll also get the chance to see some live curling matches that will include members of the US Olympic Curling Team.
US Speedskating Team Training – The team is back to train at the Pettit in preparation for the 2006 Winter Games. Come and watch the team train, meet some of the nation’s best skaters and even take to the ice with the US squad on Saturday, August 14th at 4pm for a “Skate with the Team”.
Be The Human Hockey Puck – After speed skating, the only way to go faster on the ice will be by becoming the Human Hockey Puck. Take a ride everyday at the Fair!
Free Public Skating – Throughout the 2004 Fair, anyone with a Fair Admission can come and skate on the Pettit’s Olympic Oval free of charge. Come and cool off in the Pettit’s “Cool Zone.”
Official US Olympic Team Gear – The Pettit will be featuring gear from the 2004 US Olympic Team. This is your chance to look just like the US Team in official apparel by Roots Sportswear.
The 2004 Wisconsin State Fair runs August 5th to the 15th, 2004.
