Pettit Speed Skaters Shine At U.S. Olympic Trials
The Pettit National Ice Center, a U.S. Olympic Training Facility, is proud to announce the success of several speed skaters from the U.S. Olympic Trials in Salt Lake City. There were some great performances by athletes who train at the Pettit Center on a daily basis,
year-round.
Making her Winter Olympic debut in Turin, Italy is Margaret Crowley. Crowley, a native of Evanston, Illinois, has trained daily at the Pettit Center for the past few years with her training partner Nancy Swider-Peltz, Jr. The two Illinois products have trained under the watchful eye of former Olympian Nancy Swider-Peltz, Sr. while at the Pettit Center. Crowley will skate the 3000m along with Catherine Raney, who hails from Elm Grove.
