Pettit
Youth Hockey
Hockey
is an everyday occurrence here at the Pettit National
Ice Center, from Mites to Midgets, the Pettit
offers something for nearly every age and every
ability. The Pettit Youth Hockey Program
features a C-Level Recreation League and U-18/HS
Travel team. The main objectives of Pettit
Hockey are:
- Provide physical activity that will
increase strength, skill, fitness & health
- Encourage participation in hockey that will
develop positive mental attitudes toward competition
and practices
- Teach sportsmanship, fair play and pride so
that the participant will keep both winning
and losing in their proper perspectives
- Teach that hard work, diligence and sacrifice
are ingredients for success
The
Pettit Youth Hockey League begins play in mid-September
and concludes in mid-March. The teams practice
once per week at The Pettit Center and games are
held on the weekends. Each team plays 25-30 games
in that 6-month span with home and home games
scheduled with surrounding area teams such as:
Elmbrook, Waukesha, Kenosha, Fond du Lac, Sheboygan,
Milwaukee, Winter Club (River Hills), Ozaukee,
etc.
Age
classifications:
6-8
yr. olds: Mites
9 -10 yr. olds: Squirts
11-12 yr. olds: PeeWees
13-14 yr. olds: Bantams
15-18 yr. olds: HS Midget
Spring
Hockey at the Pettit Center
This
spring the Pettit Center will offer two ways you
can stay active both on and off the ice.
The Pettit Spring League is open to any
and all youth players that still want to practice
and play hockey once their winter season has ended

Team Pettit is a new team
for 2008 and will feature a higher-level of play.
This is the perfect opportunity for skaters to
experience a new brand of hockey with high-level
tournaments. Team Pettit will have open
tryouts March 17 and 19 for all local hockey players.
Come and play with the best at the Pettit Center.

please be at the Pettit Center AT LEAST one half-hour
before the scheduled tryout time.
March 17th
97's 6pm
94's - 7:15pm
93's - 8:30pm
March 19th
94's - 7:15pm
93's - 8:30pm
March 26
97's - 6:15pm
Due to Lack of interest at the 96 and 95 levels
we will not be fielding teams for those birth
years. 95's are encouraged to tryout at the 94
level.
